Browser Extension Privacy Policy

This policy covers only the JobPaglu Chrome extension — what it can access in your browser, what it stores locally, and what it sends to JobPaglu's servers. For how your account, profile and payment data are handled on the JobPaglu website and dashboard, see the Platform Privacy Policy.

Single Purpose

The extension has one job: to fill out and submit job applications on supported job sites and your JobPaglu dashboard, using the profile you've entered on JobPaglu, so you don't have to retype it for every application.

Where It Runs

The extension only activates on your JobPaglu dashboard and on the job sites it supports: LinkedIn, Naukri, Indeed, Internshala and Wellfound. It does not run on, and cannot read, any other website you visit.

Permissions We Request, and Why

  • Storage: to keep you signed in and remember your auto-apply settings on your own device.
  • Tabs: to open, switch between and close the job listing tabs the extension itself creates during an auto-apply run. It does not read the content, history or URLs of tabs it didn't open.
  • Scripting: to run the autofill script on the application pages you direct it to.

We do not request access to your browsing history, your other open tabs, or any site outside the list above.

What the Extension Processes

On pages where it is permitted to run, the extension processes the job listing and application form you are applying to, together with the profile information and resume content from your JobPaglu account that are needed to complete that application. This information may be sent to JobPaglu's servers to generate application answers, create a tailored resume or cover letter when you request one, and record the application meta-data in your dashboard. Uploaded resume or other files are not uploaded by the extension itself.

What It Stores on Your Device

The extension keeps your JobPaglu sign-in session, your auto-apply settings, and short-lived, capped caches used only during an auto-apply run — jobs already seen and answers already generated, so they aren't re-fetched or reasked. The extension does not intentionally store any other user data locally. Signing out or removing the extension clears this data.

Your Platform Accounts

JobPaglu never asks for and never stores your LinkedIn, Naukri, Indeed, Internshala or Wellfound passwords. The extension runs inside your own browser and uses the sessions you're already logged into on those sites.

Limited Use of Data

JobPaglu's collection and use of information received through the Chrome extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Specifically, your data is:

  • not sold to third parties;
  • not used or transferred for any purpose unrelated to the extension's single purpose of applying to jobs on your behalf;
  • not used or transferred to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes;
  • not used to train AI models for other customers or for any general model training.

AI Processing

JobPaglu uses one or more third-party AI providers to generate answers for application forms and other requested application content. The specific provider or model may change over time. Before information is sent to an AI provider, JobPaglu de-identifies the data on its servers by removing or replacing identifying information where applicable. The AI provider receives only the de-identified information necessary to process the specific request. When the AI provider returns a response, JobPaglu processes that response on its servers and uses it to complete the application form in your browser.

Data Retention and Deletion

Removing the extension or disabling its site access prevents the extension from accessing supported pages or collecting additional data through the extension. Data previously associated with your JobPaglu account is handled according to our Platform Privacy Policy. You can request deletion of your JobPaglu account data at any time. When a deletion request is made, we permanently delete the associated data from our systems within 90 days of the request. After deletion is completed, the data is no longer retained by JobPaglu.

Security

The extension authenticates to our backend with a short-lived access token rather than your JobPaglu password, and all communication with our servers is over HTTPS.
